The TCU Horned Frogs bounced back Saturday, defeating the Kansas Jayhawks at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.
The Frogs took control in the second half when JP Richardson returned a punt 89 yards for the go-ahead score.
Despite three turnovers, TCU managed to pull away in the fourth quarter. Kyle Lemmerman completed a 29-yard field goal with 3:02 left in the fourth quarter to beat Kansas 38-27.

Quarterback Josh Hoover threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Jack Bech racked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Cam Cook had a touchdown run.
“So many games in the past we haven’t been able to take over in the fourth quarter and run the ball, and tonight we did,” Hoover said. “Our offensive line carries the fourth quarter…It makes it a lot easier, and I’m super proud of our offensive line.”
The defensive line saw huge improvements from last week, shutting down the Jayhawks’ passing game and forcing Kansas’ average rushing yards from 6.2 in the first half to 3.6 in the second.
Linebacker Johnny Hodges led the defense with eight total tackles. They held Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels to just 15 of 34 attempted passes.

The win was a necessary confidence boost for the team after the two consecutive losses.
“This is one of the best team wins I have been a part of for a long time,” head coach Sonny Dykes said.
“Guys just got tougher, tougher and grittier. And sometimes teams that lose two games in a row don’t react that way,” Dykes said. “Again, I think it says a lot about these players, who they are, their character, the way they work.”
The Horned Frogs are looking to maintain the momentum when they take on the Houston Cougars at home on Friday, Oct. 4. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. CDT.
