Vice Presidential candidates Tim Walz and JD Vance debate policies
The 2024 vice-presidential debate between Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. JD Vance was a cordial interaction in which attacks were mainly directed at the opposing candidate’s running mate, according to CNN.
On the topic of gun violence in America, both candidates agreed that it is an issue that must be addressed and remedied, especially in schools. While Vance cited mental health and “open borders” as factors of the problem, Walz stated, “Sometimes it just is the guns.”
When asked directly by Walz if former president Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, Vance replied, “Tim, I’m focused on the future.”
Tuesday night’s debate polls showed that it made little difference in numbers on the presidential race, according to the Wall Street Journal.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has pleaded not guilty to bribery and fraud charges brought against him last week, but federal prosecutors have told a judge that there is a possibility of additional charges against him and others as well, according to The New York Times.
“The prosecution is desperately now saying they ‘could’ bring a new case because they are suddenly facing the dismissal of their actual, flawed case,” Adams’ attorney, Alex Spiro, said. “If they had a real case, they would have brought it.”
Adams was indicted on five counts of bribery, solicitation, wire fraud and conspiracy.
