Snag, a new 10-minute delivery service, launched at TCU this fall.
Snag, the delivery app, promises to bring everything from chips and energy drinks to ice cream, groceries and meals to TCU students within 10 minutes of the order.
TCU is one of 11 campuses part of the Snag network. Of those, Snag opened five campuses this school year. Snag started in 2020 at the University of California Santa Barbara, and new locations have been opening each year since.
Snag keeps its products in-house, so there’s no need to send drivers to a grocery store or restaurant for their orders.
“It’s like a 7-Eleven that comes to your front door,” said Soren Call, the TCU store operator. “We are also much more affordable than other delivery services because it was intended for college students.”
The delivery fee is only 99 cents, making Snag an affordable option for college students on a budget. The entire staff is student-run, with job openings on their website.
It is an enjoyable work environment with flexible hours, Alex Wickliffe, a Snag delivery driver, said. “Snag has made a positive impact at TCU so far, making it convenient for students to get essentials quickly.”
Snag is a convenient option for people who forget to buy items when grocery shopping.
“When I was cooking last week, I realized I forgot an ingredient, so I ordered it on Snag to arrive quickly,” Colin Morkert, a sophomore finance major said.
Students can order on the app every day from noon until midnight. Delivery workers have electric bikes and electric scooters provided to them to make deliveries in 10 minutes.
“My friends and I like to have snacks for movie nights at our house,” said Kiley Gugasian, a junior communication studies major. “Snag is perfect to order from so we don’t have to leave our house to go buy snacks.”
Snag also has the option to purchase medicine, school supplies and other convenience items.
“Our marketing team does everything they can to get the word out about Snag through social media and interacting with students on campus,” Call said. He said Snag is a new, affordable and convenient service that is perfect for the college lifestyle.
