Liam Payne, former One Direction member, died yesterday in Buenos Aires.
Former member of One Direction Liam Payne died yesterday after falling from a third-story hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, according to CNN.
The 31-year-old was said to have been acting erratically under the influence of drugs and alcohol before the fall, according to CNN.
His behavior resulted in hotel staff calling 911 shortly before his death to request aid in handling Payne’s behavior.

A La Niña climate cycle is likely to begin this fall.
Experts are saying there is a 60% chance of a La Nina event occurring this fall through spring, according to The Associated Press.
The climate cycle will likely be weak but still impactful throughout the Americas.
During a La Nina cycle, cold water in the Pacific Ocean rises which ultimately affects the jet stream, thus impacting storm paths and intensity, per The Associated Press.
This cycle would mark the fourth in four years which is uncommon but not impossible.
“I would not infer from that–the climate change isn’t actually causing more El Nino emergence,” University of Alabama climate scientist Paul Roundy said. “It’s just that nature itself has such strong swings on its own. So we can get multiple La Nina events, and maybe in 40 or 50 years we’ll be seeing the opposite.”
Robert Roberson is scheduled to be executed today.
56-year-old Robert Roberson is scheduled to be executed today after being on death row for over 20 years, according to CNN.
In 2003, Roberson was convicted of murdering his 2-year-old daughter based on the now-discredited shaken baby syndrome. It is now believed that she died from pneumonia.
At the time of his conviction, Roberson was thought to be emotionless toward his daughter’s death, which impacted the court’s disbelief in his innocence. He has now been diagnosed with autism which would affect his emotional responses, according to CNN.
This morning, Roberson was subpoenaed to testify before a Texas House committee on the 21st. However, his execution date is yet to be pushed back.
