TCU aims to continue their 10-1 winning streak at home after their win against Colorado yesterday.
No. 18 TCU swept the Buffalos in straight sets. During the first set, both teams began evenly matched, tied at 10 points, until the Frogs capitalized on Colorado’s errors to take the lead, 22-16.
TCU kept the momentum heading into the second set, quickly leading Colorado 10-6. Despite two late rallies from the Buffs, the Frogs held firm to take the second set, 25-20.
Their strength carried into the third set as the Frogs regained a comfortable 16-10 lead. After a short scoring push from Colorado, a final 9-2 run sealed the Frogs’ victory for the night.
Senior Melanie Parra continues to shine as she led the team with 16 kills and 12 digs. Redshirt sophomore Alexis Roberson gave the Frogs the first set with a kill, putting the Frogs up 25-18.
TCU will return to the Schollmaier Arena this Friday, facing Iowa State at 6:30 p.m. The Cyclones, fresh off a loss in Waco, Texas, where they faced No. 17 Baylor, head up to Fort Worth to face the Frogs at home.
