No.23-ranked TCU women’s golf secured fourth place at the inaugural Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate at the Ridglea Country Club, showcasing their potential as a NCAA contender.
The tournament was a challenging test for the Horned Frogs. They climbed from sixth place to fourth in the final round, shooting a three-over 287 to surpass No. 21 Oklahoma State and No. 33 Kentucky. TCU ended just two strokes behind SMU for third place.

Five Horned Frogs posted top-20 finishes, led by freshman Gracie McGovern’s standout performance. Competing as an individual, McGovern achieved a personal best score of one-over 214 and had her first career top-10 finish. She moved up eight spots after day one, shot a two-under 69 in the final round and led the tournament in par-3 scoring.
Senior Meagan Winans also had a notable performance, tying for 13th place at four-over 217. Winans was a tournament best minus-six on par-5s and showcased her consistency through the tournament. Winans had a strong start, shooting one-under 70 in the first round and maintained her momentum throughout the tournament.
Kirstin Angosta, Camilla Min-Gaultier and Sofia Barroso Sá each finished at five over 218, tying for 17th place. Angosta played bogey-free on the back nine in the final round, while Min-Gaultier concluded her round one-under in the final 11 holes. Barroso Sá had an impressive 11 birdies over the two-day tournament.

The performance extends TCU’s impressive fall season, which includes four consecutive top-four finishes and team titles at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational and Jim West Challenge.
The Horned Frogs will take a break for the remainder of the fall semester and return to the green Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2025 at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico.
