TCU women’s golf announced the signing of Yvette O’Brien, a top-ranked U.S. amateur, to its 2025-26 roster.
O’Brien, from Greenwich, Conn., is ranked 44th among U.S. amateurs in the class of 2025 and achieved a career-high World Amateur Golf ranking of 846 in October.
“We are so excited to sign such a great athlete and person,” TCU women’s golf head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said. “Yvette brings a wealth of experience at a high level of competition. We are thrilled to welcome Yvette and her family to our Frog Fam. She will be a tremendous asset on and off the golf course with her competitive fire, strength, and perseverance.”
O’Brien has medaled three times in the last year, most notably winning the 3rd CT Girl Jr. Championship in July, the Jim McLean Jr Championship in March, and the First Tee Miami Doral Junior Classic last December. She also had three runner-up finishes in July.
“I chose TCU because of its outstanding academic reputation, competitive golf program, supportive team-oriented environment and the vibrant culture of Fort Worth that is available to the student body,” O’Brien said. “It felt like the perfect place to grow and learn both personally and as an athlete.”

O’Brien won the New England High School Girls Golf Championship as a freshman and then relocated to Boca Raton, Fla., in 2022, where she placed fifth at the 2023 Florida High School 1A State Championship.
With a low-18 of 65 and a career-best low-54-hole score of 7-under, O’Brien will join a TCU roster that currently features four returning top 200 players. The Horned Frogs are expected to graduate just one player in May 2025.
