On June 1, 2025, Chancellor Victor Boschini will step down, as announced in an school-wide email from Kit Moncrief, the Chair of the TCU Board of Trustees and Boschini himself.
President Daniel Pullin will be TCU’s 11th chancellor, as selected by Boschini and the TCU Board of Trustees.
In a post on Instagram, Pullin wrote that he is “indebted to” and “inspired by” Chancellor Boschini’s respectful leadership of a quality university. TCU announced that they will not replace Pullin’s current role.
For Boschini’s part, he will continue to have a vital role in TCU’s leadership and community. According to the email, TCU will establish a Chancellor Emeritus position. Boschini will keep an office in The Harrison building and continue “friend-raising” and “fundraising,” responsibilities he has often said he most enjoys. He will also continue to teach in TCU’s College of Education.
“I just felt like it was time. I think you know in your soul when that is correct,” Boschini said. “This will be a great opportunity for me to travel around the country raising support for TCU since I have 23 years of grads that I have been blessed enough to know.”
Boschini has been TCU’s chancellor since 2003, and will be the third-longest-serving chancellor when he retires after McGruder Ellis Sadler and Addison Clark, TCU’s first chancellor.
The TCU community has already shown their continued support and gratitude for Boschini, commenting on TCU’s official Instagram post.
