The No. 9 TCU women’s basketball team dismantled the Florida Atlantic University Owls 78-42 Wednesday night, securing a commanding win with suffocating defense and balanced offensive performance.
The Horned Frogs wasted no time establishing their dominance, erupting with a 14-0 run in the game’s opening 2:48. By the final quarter, TCU built a 45-point lead, ultimately cruising to their ninth consecutive victory of the season.
Hailey Van Lith led the Horned Frogs with a game-high 16 points, demonstrating her continued scoring prowess by netting 12 of those points in the first half before resting in the final quarter. Alongside her, Sedona Prince delivered another remarkable performance, scoring 14 points and recording her milestone 100th career block — the fifth time this season she’s swatted away five or more shots.
Head Coach Mark Campbell’s team displayed remarkable offensive efficiency, assisting on 24 of their field goals while committing just five turnovers. The Horned Frogs’ precision was evident in their 12 three-pointers, with Madison Conner and Taylor Bigby each connecting on three from beyond the arc.
The defensive performance was equally impressive. TCU held Florida Atlantic to a mere 25% shooting, continuing a trend that has defined Campbell’s tenure. The Owls were held well below their season scoring average — a feat TCU has accomplished against 34 opponents under Coach Campbell’s leadership.
The victory was particularly significant as TCU’s first game as a top 10 ranked team, setting the stage for a massive upcoming matchup against defending national champion South Carolina this Sunday at Dickies Arena.

Bench depth proved crucial, with TCU getting 25 points from non-starters. Knisha Godfrey was particularly effective, scoring a season-high seven points in the third quarter and helping to extend the team’s lead.
The win marked TCU’s 24th consecutive non-conference victory and their 20th straight home non-conference win. It also represents the first time in program history that the team has won nine games in a single month.
Next up, the Horned Frogs will face their biggest test yet when they host third-ranked South Carolina on Sunday at Dickies Arena. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
