TCU extended its home, non-conference winning streak to 19 games on Sunday.
The Frogs defeated Montana State 82-48 at Schollmaier Arena in its final matchup before Big 12 play.
The Horned Frogs dominated the glass and excelled at the free-throw line, continuing their strong defensive presence that has defined their season. TCU, entering the game ranked sixth in the Big 12 in scoring defense, held the Bobcats to just 35.2% shooting.
Playing without injured guard Brendan Wenzel, who missed his second straight game with a high ankle sprain, TCU showcased its depth. Noah Reynolds led the team with 15 points, converting 13 of 14 free throws, while Trazarien White added 13 points with three 3-pointers.
The Horned Frogs out-rebounded Montana State 46-22, led by Malick Diallo’s 10 rebounds in just 13 minutes off the bench. Ernest Udeh Jr. continued his strong season with nine points and four steals.
Freshman David Punch, one of six freshmen in the Big 12 averaging at least 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds, collected eight rebounds and eight points in 22 minutes.

TCU maintained its identity as a transition team, scoring 15 fast-break points. The Horned Frogs entered the game leading the Big 12 and ranking 17th nationally with 16.3 fast-break points per game.
Max Agbonkpolo led Montana State with 18 points as their sole double-figure scorer.
The victory moves Jamie Dixon within five wins of 500 for his career. His 167 wins at TCU rank second all-time in program history.
The Frogs open Big 12 Conference play at Arizona on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. CT, marking their first conference matchup against the new Big 12 member.
