Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince combine for 47 points in TCU’s 81-73 victory over the No. 23 Utah Utes.
The game did get close in the second half as the Utes outscored the Horned Frogs 49-36. They pulled within single digits multiple times, the closest being five points.
However, Prince, Van Lith and three-point specialist Madison Conner put the game away.
Van Lith led the way with 24 points, three assists and a trio of threes.
Prince put together a great effort as she chipped in 23 points while shooting 64% from the field.
The Horned Frogs and the Utes had similar shooting percentages, with the Frogs shooting 44.1% from the field and the Utes slightly edging them at 44.4%.
Conner had the moment of the night as she broke a defender’s ankles, getting the entire student section out of their seats. She chipped in 13 points to go along with six assists.

There were two big keys to victory for the Horned Frogs. The first was limiting the turnovers, as the Purple only had seven compared to 13 from the Utes. The second was the three-point shooting as the Horned Frogs shot 42% from three while converting on 11 of them.
The Utes shot 34.6% from three and only converted nine of them.
This win brings them to a 19-1 record and first place in the Big 12 Conference.
