Brendan Wenzel hit a 3-pointer with 5.0 seconds remaining as TCU rallied to upset No. 25 Baylor 74-71 on Sunday at Foster Pavilion.
The Horned Frogs erased a late six-point deficit in the final minutes, capped by Wenzel’s game-winner off an assist from Noah Reynolds. Ernest Udeh Jr. blocked Jayden Nunn’s potential game-tying shot attempt as time expired.
Wenzel finished with a season-high 17 points. Udeh recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 15 rebounds, adding four blocks. Vasean Allette and Reynolds each contributed 13 points.

The Bears led by as many as 12 points in the first half and held a 39-32 advantage at halftime. Norchad Omier led Baylor with 20 points and V.J. Edgecombe added 18.
TCU trailed 56-47 with 11:58 remaining before mounting a 20-5 run to take a 67-61 lead on a Wenzel 3-pointer with 3:21 left. The Bears tied it at 71 when Nunn connected from beyond the arc with 17 seconds remaining before Wenzel’s game-winning shot.
The Horned Frogs shot 50.9% from the field while holding Baylor to 39.7% shooting. TCU dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Bears 41-25 for their first rebounding advantage in Big 12 play this season.
The victory marked TCU’s third straight win in Waco and their fourth all-time against a ranked Baylor team. It was also the Horned Frogs’ seventh road win over an AP Top 25 team in program history.
TCU returns home to host No. 9 Kansas on Wednesday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
