The Horned Frogs beat University of San Diego 7-6 to wrap up a four-game sweep.
TCU struck first in the top of the first inning with a double from first baseman Cole Cramer, who scored Chase Brunson. San Diego answered in the bottom of the first with home run from first baseman Johnathan Fitz.
San Diego extended their lead with a three-run second inning thanks to a steal of home by Gabe D’Arcy, followed by a two-run shot by first baseman Jack Gurevitch, his second home run of the series.
TCU put up a crooked number in the fourth inning as they plated four runs. Second baseman Jack Bell doubled and later scored on a single from right fielder Sawyer Strosnider. Left field Isaac Cadena followed up with a RBI double to score Strosnider. Center fielder Chase Brunson capped the inning off with a two-run home run to give TCU a 5-4 lead.

The lead didn’t last long as San Diego responded in their half of the inning. Jack Gurvitch continued to be a thorn in TCU’s side as he knocked in a RBI single.
The seesaw game continued as it was TCU’s turn to score. Cole Cramer homered to add onto his impressive day and make the game 6-5.
However, in the seventh inning, catcher Jayden Loblinger singled to even the game up off of TCU relief pitcher Louis Rodriguez.
Things got dicey in the bottom of the eighth as San Diego University had runners on the corners with one out and Jack Gurvitch stepped up. TCU relief pitcher Mason Brassfield got the better of him, getting Gurevitch to line into a double play.
Cole Cramer led off the ninth inning and got hitter’s count before he unloaded on a pitch. His second home run of the game was the difference. Cramer ended the game 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs, leaving his fingerprints all over this game.
TCU moves to 4-0 with this win. Their next game will be against Michigan at Globe Life Field in Arlington on Feb. 21 at 3 p.m.
