TCU held off a late Arizona State rally to secure a 74-70 road victory Saturday night at Desert Financial Arena.
Jace Posey, a redshirt freshman, came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points on efficient 6-of-8 shooting, while senior Noah Reynolds added 19 points including the game-winning 3-pointer with 16.5 seconds remaining to break a 67-67 tie.

The Horned Frogs never trailed after the opening four minutes, building their largest lead of 13 points midway through the second half. However, the Sun Devils mounted a comeback, hitting six of their final eight shots to erase what had been a nine-point deficit with under five minutes left in play.
After Reynolds’ crucial three put TCU ahead, freshman guard Vasean Allette sealed the victory by converting four consecutive free throws in the final 11 seconds. Allette finished with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds to help TCU dominate the glass 39-27.
TCU started hot, making eight of their first 10 field goal attempts en route to a 38-31 halftime lead behind 56.5% shooting. Though their offense cooled in the second half, the Horned Frogs compensated by hitting 23 of 31 free throws (74.2%).
BJ Freeman led Arizona State with 21 points, while Alston Mason and Shawn Phillips Jr. each added 12 points in the loss.
The victory marked TCU’s fourth win in their last five games and improved their record to 8-1 in games decided by five points or less this season.
The Horned Frogs return home to face No. 12 Texas Tech on Tuesday night. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
