TCU jumped out to a strong first half, leading 36-28 at the break. The Frogs controlled the paint early, outscoring the Red Raiders 22-14 inside. However, Texas Tech found its rhythm in the second half, shooting 54% from the field and cutting the deficit. A three-pointer from Williams tied the game at 54 with 8:46 remaining, and the Red Raiders briefly led 59-55 after a layup by Williams with 6:57 left.
The Frogs responded with a 7-0 run, capped by a Reynolds three-pointer to retake the lead. TCU sealed the win at the free-throw line, with Reynolds sinking four crucial free throws in the final minutes.
