The TCU women’s golf team posted a record-breaking performance Tuesday, winning the Chevron Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston with a 34-under-par total of 830, nine strokes ahead of runner-up Texas A&M.
The victory marked TCU’s third team title this season, making the 2024-25 squad the first in coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin’s tenure to win three tournaments in a single campaign. They are also the first TCU women’s golf team in 35 years to win multiple championships in a season, joining only three other teams in program history to achieve this feat (1982, 1983, and 1989).
Trailing No. 17 Texas A&M by four shots entering the final round, the Horned Frogs fired a blistering 15-under 273 on Tuesday. TCU shot an eight-under 136 on the front nine to overtake the Aggies, then delivered a decisive blow with 13 combined birdies across the first five holes of the back nine – including 10 on holes 10-13.

Freshman Camille Min-Gaultier led TCU with a runner-up finish at 13-under 203 (69-69-65), recording the best 54-hole score by a freshman in program history. Her final-round 65 included eight birdies in her first 15 holes, which briefly gave her a one-stroke lead over eventual tournament winner Vanessa Borovilos of Texas A&M, who finished at 15-under 201.
Junior Sofia Barroso Sá continued her consistent play, tying for third at 10-under 206 after carding four back-nine birdies in the final round. This marks Barroso Sá’s team-leading sixth top-20 finish of the 2024-25 season. She tied for the tournament high in birdies with 16.
Senior Meagan Winans tied for 12th at 6-under 210, giving TCU three players under par and in the top 15. Winans has now finished under par in consecutive tournaments for the first time in her career.
Rounding out TCU’s five-player lineup were Gracie McGovern, who tied for 50th at three-over 219, and Kirstin Angosta, who tied for 61st at six-over 222. Angosta played a crucial role in Tuesday’s charge, shooting a four-under 68 in the final round with five birdies over TCU’s first 12 holes. Sofie Dimitrova competed as an individual and tied for 64th at seven-over 223.
The Horned Frogs excelled in nearly every statistical category, leading the field with 58 birdies and topping the charts in par-3 scoring (2.85, -9). Collectively, the team was bogey-free in 90 percent of their holes (242-270), with only top-ranked Arkansas committing fewer bogeys (26).
The win elevates TCU to No. 13 on SCOREBOARD rankings, giving TCU six consecutive top-five finishes and makes them the only Big 12 team with three titles this season.
The Horned Frogs return to action Sunday at the MountainView Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona, where they’ll compete in a 54-hole event spanning three days at The Preserve Golf Club.
