TCU women’s basketball overcame 15 turnovers in a 71-62 win against No. 3 Notre Dame to advance to the Elite Eight.
The Frogs, who were down 46-37 with 5:51 left in the third quarter, closed that quarter on a 14-6 run to go into the fourth quarter down 52-51.
Hailey Van Lith scored 12 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter to help the Frogs emerge victorious. TCU also received help from Sedona Prince, who had 21 points and six blocks. Madison Conner contributed 13 points and went 2-4 from the three-point-line.

Van Lith will advance to her 5th Elite 8 and is the first player in NCAA history to lead three different schools to an Elite 8 appearance.
“At this point, I have ultimate confidence and faith in myself to compete at an intense level. I’ve learned through my experience that you can’t always ask yourself to make every shot, but if you compete and lay it all out there every game, you are giving yourself a better shot than a lot of other people,” Van Lith said.
Head coach Mark Campbell praised Van Lith, Donovyn Hunter, Agnes Emma-Nnopu and Taylor Bigby for holding Notre Dame guard Hanna Hidalgo, who averages 24.1 points per game, to 15 points on 3-19 shooting from the field.
Notre Dame shot 31.9% from the field (22-69) and 20% from three (3-15). “It was an incredible collective effort from the team defensively,” Campbell said.
TCU women’s basketball will face No. 1 seed Texas in the Elite Eight on Monday at Legacy Arena.
