TCU men’s basketball’s Ernest Udeh Jr. announced today that he plans on entering the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.
Udeh transferred to TCU from Kansas after his first year. As a Jayhawk, he shot 75.6% from the field, including a school record of 21 consecutive made shots from Dec. 1 to Feb. 28. He had 20 steals, 18 blocks and 53 rebounds that season.
Between his time at TCU and Kansas, Udeh spent a period playing in London and Paris for the 2023 Foreign Tour, where he averaged 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds.
This center was crucial for the Frogs during his two seasons at wearing purple. Udeh started in all 29 games his sophomore season and averaged 4.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He led the team in blocks and had a game-high three blocks twice.
Udeh ended his junior season with accolades. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and NABC Second Team All-Gulf District. In the Big 12, he ranked seventh in rebounds, (7.5 per game), eleventh in blocks (1.3 per game) and third in offensive rebounds (3.1 per game).
Where Udeh plans to transfer remains unknown.
