“Live from New York,” it’s a Horned Frog. Jeremy Culhane attended TCU from 2010 to 2014 and is now part of the cast for the 51st season of “Saturday Night Live.”
During his time at TCU, Culhane was a member of the Student Filmmakers Association and campus improv group Senseless Acts of Comedy. His classmates and SAC co-stars celebrated the recent news, adding that his casting reflects years of dedication.
“I know how hard he worked, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving to be put on SNL than Jeremy,” said Benjamin Yoder, who performed with Culhane in SAC from 2012 to 2014. “We were all on our SAC group chat after we found out, making jokes, and telling him how proud we were of him.”

Yoder said Culhane’s energy “ratcheted everything up to an 11.”
“Jeremy was one of the funniest people I’ve ever performed with, if not the funniest,” he said.
Yoder said Culhane’s intellect and quick wit stood out just as much as his comedic antics and timing on stage.
“He brought a unique depth with him on stage every time he performed,” Yoder said.
Vicky Curtin ’16 said SAC’s Thursday night shows were one of the highlights from her time at TCU.
“Everyone was funny, but Jeremy in particular was absolutely hilarious,” Curtin said. “Any skit or improv game with him in it was sure to be a hit. I can still quote lines from their sketches to this day.”
Curtin recalled one performance when she was pulled into a dating game sketch during her sophomore year and got to share the stage with Culhane.
“The whole team had me laughing until I cried,” she said. “That’s the kind of energy Jeremy brought and it’s no surprise that he ended up making it to Saturday Night Live. If anyone from TCU can make it, I would bet on him.”
Culhane, originally from Altadena, California, studied philosophy and economics with a minor in theatre. He graduated as a John V. Roach Honors Laureate.
