With a starting record of 1-0 after a win against North Carolina, 48-14, the Frogs will take on ACU this week in their first home game of the season.
After last week’s win, Head Coach Sonny Dykes said in a press conference that he was a bit disappointed with the missed opportunities, especially in the first half. He looks to continue to build on last year’s success as the team works to capitalize on every play.
TCU will play its first home game against Abilene Christian University next week. ACU started the season with a 0-1 record after a 35-7 loss against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. While TCU had its bye week, ACU edged out a 28-20 win against Stephan F. Austin.
Stone Earle, ACU’s quarterback, will be starting again this season. After week two, Earle has passed for 379 yards with no touchdowns, compared to TCU’s Josh Hoover, who has thrown for 284 yards and two touchdowns. This week will be the first time Hoover and Earle face off.
The TCU vs ACU game is on Saturday, September 13th, with kickoff at 7 p.m. Tickets for the game are sold out, but fans can still stream the action on ESPN+.
