The FAA is facing fines after safety violations related to Alaska Airlines
The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking $3.1 million in fines due to an Alaska Airlines plane losing its door plug panel mid-flight, according to AP News.
These malfunctions occurred between 2023 and 2024, with a 17-month investigation concluding there were ineffective inspections and audits by the FAA in Boeing’s oversight.
In addressing other violations, the FAA aims to promote increased safety and accountability.

Sunday, Fox’s Brian Kilmeade released a public apology in regards to his comments about homeless people.
Kilmeade made a statement about how mentally ill homeless people should be executed. This comment came on a “Fox & Friends” episode Wednesday, according to AP News.
Kilmeade came forward, stating his words were “extremely callous.”
Gooder Foods recalls a product after reports of allergic reactions
Due to a possible milk allergen risk, Gooder Foods is recalling its boxed macaroni and cheese.
With claims to be 100% vegan, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated the brand is recalling two of its popular products, according to USA Today.
Five lots of cheddar-flavored and three lots of truffle-flavored boxed macaroni and cheese are being recalled. The affected products were distributed between April 29 and Aug. 9, 2025.
Alleged Charlie Kirk’s shooter is “not cooperating with authorities”

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox spoke to ABC News, stating that the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination has not confessed or cooperated with authorities, according to ABC News.
The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, remains in custody but continues to be difficult with authorities. It was also revealed that Robinson communicated with individuals via Discord after the shooting.
Cox said he recognized the anger the president and the rest of the country feels now, and said he is working to get more information on the situation.
