Hundreds of people flocked to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden to kick off Hispanic Heritage month with the annual ¡Celebramos! event on Sept. 13-14. The event featured live mariachi performances, food trucks and a plethora of Hispanic-owned vendor booths that offered original artwork, handcrafted pottery, clothing and more.
¡Celebramos! brought people of all ages and cultures to the 120-acre garden to explore the floral blooms and join in on the multitude of activities celebrating Latino culture. The Latin Flag Parade is another highlight of the event, where registered participants wave flags representing countries from Latin America, showcasing their pride in Hispanic culture.

“It’s great to see the [Latin] community, and for a really popular venue like Botanic Gardens to host an event like this really elevates this culture, especially nowadays, where the Hispanic culture is nullified so much,” Sergio Ortiz, a Latino attendee of the event, said. “To see people coming out here and appreciating the bright colors, the awesome music, the great personalities — it’s just awesome.”
Admission to the event is free.
¡Celebramos! will return to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden on Oct. 11-12 to close out Hispanic Heritage Month with another weekend full of festivities.
