TCU looks to bounce back against the Colorado Buffaloes after suffering their first loss of the season against Arizona State this past week. The Frogs are looking to pick up their first Big-12 win of the season.
Josh Hoover looks to continue his impressive junior campaign against Colorado this week. Hoover threw for 242 yards and rushed for a touchdown against Arizona State. He was one of three players who rushed for a touchdown for the Frogs with running backs Jeremy Payne and Trent Battle also rushing for a touchdown.
The Frogs were without wide receiver Eric McAlister and running back Kevorian Barnes against Arizona State this past week. Both players’ availability is unknown for this week’s game against Colorado.
Wide receiver Joseph Manjack IV stepped up for the Frogs this past week, catching six targets for 83 yards. Manjack is up to 236 receiving yards on the year on 15 receptions.
Colorado is coming off a 21-24 loss against Big-12 opponent, BYU. Colorado was up 14-10 at the half but ended up losing and is 2-3 on the year, currently 0-2 in Big-12 play.
The Buffaloes have had three different quarterbacks see action this year with Liberty transfer, Kaidon Slater being the current starter. Slater played four years at Liberty before transferring to Colorado this past offseason. Slater has thrown for 684 yards for Colorado through four games.

Colorado has been trying to rebuild after losing former quarterback Shedeur Sanders and last year’s Heisman trophy winner, Travis Hunter. Both were taken in this past years’ NFL draft.
The last time TCU and Colorado faced off was in the 2023 season when the Frogs lost 42-45. Saturday will be the third time the Frogs and the Buffaloes have faced off. The series is even at 1-1.
Saturday’s game has been announced as a blackout game. TCU’s last blackout game was last season against UCF.
The Frogs will face off against the Buffaloes on Saturday, Oct. 4, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. The game will be on FOX, and tickets are still available for purchase on gofrogs.com.
