The Horned Frogs started with the ball and faced fourth and five on the Colorado 46. Hoover threw an incomplete pass targeted to Joseph Manjack.
On the third play of the Buffaloes’ drive, Jamel Johnson jumped an in-breaking route for his third interception of the season.
TCU had third and goal on the one-yard line, but an offensive pass interference moved the Frogs back 15 yards, leading to a missed 31-yard field goal.
After the Horned Frogs missed out on an opportunity to get on the board, Colorado capped off a 13-play 80-yard drive with a six-yard touchdown pass from Kaidon Salter to Omarion Miller.
Colorado got the ball back after TCU went three and out, and Salter picked up another touchdown with a 10-yard rush, ending a 12-play 45-yard drive.
Trailing 14-0, TCU finally got something started with 6:27 left in the 2nd quarter when Hoover snuck into the end zone for a one-yard touchdown.

On the next Colorado drive, Salter found Miller again for a 31-yard touchdown to get the game square at 21.

The punt ball hit off a Colorado player, and TCU would recover the fumble.
Hoover found Manjack for a touchdown, giving the Frogs a 28-21 lead.
Hoover would throw his fifth total touchdown of the game and 15th of the season to McAlister to cap off a 35-21 win for TCU.
