TCU’s Fort Worth Contemporary Arts Gallery has found a new home in Molly Reid Hall, where it opened its doors to the public on Sept. 5, 2025.

Before the move, the TCU Fort Worth Contemporary Arts Gallery was located on Greene Avenue, just across from Molly Reid Hall.
When the original building was demolished for construction, the gallery relocated. Now it occupies the first floor of Molly Reid Hall on Waits Avenue.
The current location was previously an Orangetheory gym, which shut down.
“That might seem weird that we would move into a gym space,” Sara-Jayne Parsons, director of the Art Galleries at TCU, said. “But think about what gyms look like once you take out all the equipment. They’re just big open spaces. We could kind of see a way that we could make this space suitable for exhibitions, but also make it a place that artists would want to come and display their work.”
TCU has two art galleries, with this being considered the “satellite space” because it sits apart from the art school and is designed to be more public-facing, reaching a wider audience. “I mean, we’re literally on the streets and anybody can walk in,” Parsons said.
Parsons hopes that this new space will attract students and that students will want to get involved. “We have regular hours, but we’re really available to work with students,” Parsons said. “We can customize opportunities for students to come in and see shows. We’d like to make this space a nice little hangout,” she said.
Currently, the gallery is showing “Indian Removal Act III: We are a Wounding” by Joe Harjo. This exhibition will be showing until Nov. 15, 2025. Parsons encourages students to visit the Instagram page TCU Art Galleries to keep up with new exhibitions.
