The Frogs look to bounce back against Baylor at home after suffering a defeat at Kansas State, 28-41. The Frogs host the Baylor Bears this Saturday.
Amidst offensive struggles, quarterback Josh Hoover threw for 376 yards and three touchdown passes this past weekend. Hoover is up to over 1,800 passing yards on the year along with 18 touchdown passes. Hoover is second in the nation for passing yards and tied for second for passing touchdowns.
Wide receiver Eric McAlister had a big game against Kansas State as well. He caught four receptions for 156 yards and two scores. Wide receiver Ed Small had over 100 receiving yards on 6 receptions.
The Frogs are now 1-2 in Big-12 play and look for a momentum shift against Baylor to get back to their winning ways.
Baylor is 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in Big-12 play. The Bears suffered a loss in their first game of the year against non-conference opponent, Auburn. The Bears solo conference loss came against Arizona State where the Arizona State kicker hit a game winning field goal to give the Bears the loss.
The one man ahead of Hoover in passing categories is Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson. Robertson has thrown for over 2,000 yards and 19 touchdown passes. Robertson transferred to Baylor in 2023 from Mississippi State. Robertson is currently averaging over 300 passing yards a game.

Baylor most recently beat Kansas State 35-34 after blocking a game-winning field goal attempt by Kansas State.
This is the 121st meeting between Baylor and TCU. The Frogs lost to Baylor last year after the Bears hit a game winning field goal over TCU beating the frogs 37-34. TCU barely leads the all time series 59-54-7.
The Frogs will face off against the Bears on Saturday, Oct. 18, with kickoff at 11 a.m. The game will be on ESPN2, and tickets are still available for purchase on gofrogs.com.
