After coming off a rivalry win in the rain against Baylor, TCU has their eyes set on West Virginia.
TCU beat Baylor this past weekend in a shootout, 42-36. Quarterback Josh Hoover continued to impress even in the rain, throwing for 231 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Kevorian Barnes found his form as he ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 25 touches. Wide receiver Jordan Dwyer had 111 receiving yards and a score as well.
The Frogs’ defense stepped up big time at the end of the game as they had three interceptions within the last seven minutes of the game. Defensive backs Vernon Glover and Jamel Johnson as well as Namdi Obiazor all had interceptions with Obiazor intercepting the ball to win the game for the Frogs. Defensive lineman Paul Oyewale had a fumble recovery that set up the Horned Frog offense for a score.
Linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr was named co-defensive Big-12 player of the week for his efforts against Baylor. Elarms-Orr had 16 total tackles with five solo tackles and one pass deflection against Baylor.
The Frog’s defense forced Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson to almost double his interceptions on the year as he threw three this past week.
The Frogs are now back to even in the Big-12 being 2-2 in Big-12 play and 5-2 on the year and look to become bowl eligible this upcoming week.

West Virginia is sitting at 2-5 on the year and 0-4 in Big-12 play. The Mountaineers are currently tied for last place in the Big-12.
West Virginia is in the first year of bringing back head coach Rich Rodriguez. Rodriguez was the coach for West Virginia previously from 2001-2007 and was brought back this past offseason. The Mountaineers are currently on their third quarterback for the year after their starter, Nicco Marchiol, suffered an injury that had him sidelined for the year.
The Frogs are 5-8 all-time against West Virginia and look to improve that record Saturday. The last time the two teams faced off was in 2023 where the Frogs lost 21-24 in Morgantown.
The Frogs will travel to Morgantown, West Virginia, to face off against the Mountaineers on Saturday, Oct. 25, with kickoff at 5:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
