The Horned Frogs opened their season at home against New Orleans. A slow start cost the team a season opener loss, 78-74.
With six three-pointers missed and shooting just 2-9 from the floor to start the game, the Frogs fell behind early on.
Unable to find a tempo, TCU went into the second half down by 16, shooting just 32.4% from the floor and out-rebounded by the Privateers 22-11
Coming out of halftime, the frogs shot just 3-8 from the floor. With 11 minutes left in the second half, the Privateers were shooting 46.7% from three-point range, and the Frogs were shooting just 9.5%, allowing New Orleans to hold their 16-point lead.
TCU caught momentum and cut the score gap to eight on a 12-0 run while also forcing four turnovers with four minutes to play.

The frog’s momentum continued through the final seconds of the game, but the team missed both three-point opportunities with just two points needed to take the win.
The team was led by David Punch, who had 19 points and eight rebounds.
The Horned Frogs will remain at home and get ready to face St. Francis (PA) on Thursday, Nov. 6. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
