Finding a job on campus can be an easy way for students to increase their income, but with so many different types of jobs, students may not know which one to pick.
Logan Talabock is a senior political science major who works as a lifeguard for the TCU Recreation Center.
“Shifts depend on if the outdoor and indoor pools are open,” Talabock said. “When both are open, you can work anywhere from an hour and a half to four and a half hours.”
He said he likes the job because of its flexibility and fun nature.
Working as an IM League referee is another possible job opportunity for students. This is particularly appealing to students who like sports.
“You have to work all the sports,” Erin Nuelle, a junior movement science major, said. “But you’re kind of sectioned in each season a little bit.”
Nuelle said she likes this job because of the people she works with.
“It’s just a really fun environment,” Nuelle said. “I have always loved sports, which got me into it, but the environment and the people have kept me here.”
Another opportunity is working as a Chancellor’s Host in The Harrison.
“I like this job because it has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people,” Chi Nguyen, a senior nursing major, said. “It has opened me up to so many connections.”
Students can apply for all on-campus jobs through Handshake, using the filter “On Campus Student Employment.”
