The Frogs will head to Provo, Utah, to face the BYU Cougars this weekend. TCU hasn’t gone to Provo since 2009, when both teams were Mountain West Conference foes.
TCU is coming off a disappointing loss to Iowa State, where the Frogs were in control for most of the game before they came up short, losing 20-17. Hoover still threw for 319 yards and a score while wearing a glove on his hand for the first time this season. It hasn’t been publicly announced why he made the change.

TCU now has its eyes set on No. 12-ranked BYU, which is 8-1 on the year and 5-1 in the Big-12. Their lone loss came this past week to Texas Tech, who are now at the top of the conference and ranked No. 6 after beating the Cougars.
BYU is led by freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier, who has thrown for over 1,800 yards and rushed for over 400 yards as well. Bear Bachmeier is in the top 10 in the country for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with nine rushing touchdowns.
The Cougars are led by their defense, which allows around 18 points per game. Linebacker Jack Kelly had two sacks against Texas Tech and is now up to seven sacks on the year. The Frogs will have to face the heavy pressure the Cougars bring this week.
BYU is known as one of the hardest places to play because of the atmosphere the fans create. Heartland College sports ranked LaVell Edwards Stadium as the hardest place to play in the Big–12.
