The TCU men’s basketball team put up a hard fight in Friday night’s game against the No. 6 University of Michigan, battling in front of an electric crowd in the Schollmaier Arena.
“That was one of the best environments I’ve ever played in,” Brock Harding said.
The Wolverines beat the Frogs 67-63, despite the Horned Frogs’ two-point lead at the beginning of the second half.
Fans from both teams filled the arena: Michigan supporters in maize blue and TCU’s home crowd in purple, creating a high-energy atmosphere that fueled every possession.
TCU opened the second half with a 35-33 lead that the Frogs held until 6:46, when the score was 51-49.
“Our offense let us down and our rebounding let us down,” head coach Jamie Dixon Said.
The Horned Frogs were outrebounded 44-23 during the game, and the offense struggled in the second half, shooting 32.3% (10-31) from the field and 27.3% (3-11) from three.
TCU forced 22 Michigan turnovers in the loss. ” If you get 22 turnovers and they shoot 43% you should win, Dixon said. ” The only way you don’t is if you get outrebounded by 21.”
TCU will face Kansas City on Nov. 19 at the Schollmaier at 7 p.m.
