Waterside is a new development that is bringing shopping, dining and culture to Fort Worth this spring.

Whole Foods, Taco Diner and multiple “micro-restaurants” are under construction and are expected to open this spring.

Waterside sits right on the Trinity Trails off of Bryant-Irvin Road. Waterside is a major, multi-use development that is expecting to draw in the foodies of Fort Worth.

The Grove will also have public art incorporating the site’s history, a community promotion shed, activity areas for all ages and the re-use of existing playground and amusement ride equipment.

Along with the chain restaurants, Waterside is bringing in the concept of “micro-restaurants.”

Micro-restaurants are spaces under 1,000 square feet. Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark Property Co., said these compare to mini-dining options or the idea of permanent food trucks.

The micro-restaurant program coincides with Trademark’s Conscious Place initiative. The overall goal of the Conscious Place initiative is to make sure its properties are more than just places of commerce, but also places of community and meaning, according to the company’s website.
