The TCU women's soccer team kept their non-conference schedule rolling this weekend with a 2-2 tie in double overtime against the University of Houston and a 4-3 win over Northwestern State University.

Friday night, TCU played the University of Houston. TCU senior defender Cheryl Martin said TCU was not intimidated by Houston's 3-1 record before Friday, and said thought it was definitely a winnable game.

The TCU football team will have to continually prove themselves to receive recognition on a national level, even after the team's performance against Oregon State on Saturday, Horned Frog head football coach Gary Patterson said.

"No matter what we do and how we do it, we're always having to prove ourselves," Patterson said. "That's okay with us."

Quarterback Andy Dalton said he thinks the national spotlight and national attention for TCU will pick up after Saturday's game.

The competition, called FrogFilm, was designed to help the hall's residents learn to work together, express creativity and become acquainted with different aspects of the university, Ronald Pitcock, director of prestigious scholarships in the John V. Roach Honors College, told students about the contest in an informational session Thursday night.
