Former Texas secretary of state to address grads

About 1,300 Horned Frogs are scheduled to walk across the stage at this year's spring commencement, a university official said.


Margaret Kelly, executive director for community projects, said the spring commencement ceremony is broken up into two parts, a morning ceremony and an afternoon ceremony.


About 702 Horned Frogs will graduate at the morning ceremony where they will receive their degrees from the M.J. Neeley School of Business, College of Education, College of Science and Engineering or Master of Liberal Arts Program, Kelly said.

New club to capitalize on city’s energy industry

Two freshman TCU students decided to put their big ideas into action in the form of an energy club.


Ken Morgan, director of operations at the TCU Energy Institute, said the idea for the club was brought to him by Ben Voigt, a freshman real estate and finance major, and Justin LaPoten, a freshman finance major.

Road reconstruction decision left to residents

According to the city of Fort Worth, $33 million has been set aside to improve the layout of neighborhood streets as part of a bond program, with several projects slated for the TCU area. However, whether the bond passes will be up to residents.

The Fort Worth City Council will allow voters to decide the outcome of a $150 million bond proposal May 10. Included in the proposal are plans to reconstruct West Lowden Street, which is located in the TCU area.

With the craze of becoming famous in the online "ce-Web-rity" world, people have resorted to outrageous stunts to try to get attention. But the most horrifying trend that has appeared recently is videos of girls beating up each other.
