Celebrities to campaign for Obama on campus

Two Television stars will hit the campaign trail for Sen. Barack Obama on Friday in an effort to get students to the polls.


Sophia Bush of "One Tree Hill" and Adam Rodriguez of "CSI: Miami" will be on campus to support Obama's run for the presidency.


Debbie Mesloh, Dallas spokeswoman from the Obama campaign, said staffers contacted student coordinators from TCU Students for Barack Obama with an offer to have Bush and Rodriguez visit the campus.

The gossip Web site JuicyCampus.com has found a new advertising platform after its previous ad provider ended its agreement because of the site's content, the site's founder said Wednesday.


Matt Ivester, JuicyCampus' founder, said his Web site adopted AdBrite soon after Google pulled out of an agreement with JuicyCampus.

A Tarrant County political official said this could be one of the most historical elections ever seen in politics. And with the Texas primary approaching, it seems to be an appropriate time for students to become informed.


"The most important thing to know about the primary on March 4 is that it's a primary convention and not a caucus," said Keith Annis, executive director of the Tarrant County Democratic Party.

The International Student Association organized this event to assimilate American culture into international culture through music, said Lyndsay Cole, a junior marketing major and one of the coordinators of the music festival.
