Parking on campus can be an almost impossible task, but fines for parking illegally can be even worse. It's a lose-lose.

Each year, the university administration fails to address, or even discuss, the concerns over parking that constantly affect and annoy students, faculty and staff.

The only time any communication takes place regarding parking is when the campus community receives an e-mail informing it that even fewer parking spaces will be available because of construction or other events.

Women?s rifle team defeats UT-El Paso

The women's rifle team continued its hot streak Sunday with a 4,640-4,627 victory over the University of Texas at El Paso.

The Frogs went on the road for the fourth of five straight road matches, all of which have been wins.

The victory in El Paso stretched the Frogs' winning streak to 20 consecutive matches.

Sophomore Sarah Beard led the squad in its four-point victory in smallbore, earning a first-place finish with a score of 583. Junior Mattie Brogdon tied for second, firing a 576.

TCU loses 4-3 overall in ITA Kickoff Weekend

TCU battled St. Mary's College in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Friday in Berkeley, Calif.

Junior Gaby Mastromarino and freshman Olivia Smith both won their singles matches.

It came down to the match between junior Shalini Sahoo and St. Mary's Claire Soper, and Sahoo lost 6-0, 2-6, 6-4, and TCU lost 4-3 overall.

TCU played in a consolation match against the University of North Texas, but the tournament was suspended due to rain.

The match began on Saturday and was called off while North Texas was winning 2-1 against TCU.

It has been 42 years since Dr. James Cash Jr. has suited up for the Horned Frogs, but when he stepped onto the Court at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum he was welcomed like an old family friend.

The TCU men's swimming and diving team held off a late BYU rally to beat the Cougars 156-144 and wrap up conference play on Senior night Friday at the University Recreation Center Natatorium.

The win was TCU's second straight and improved their record to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in Mountain West Conference action. For BYU, the loss dropped their record to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Daniels, Kirkpatrick to play in NFL Players Association Game

TCU first-team All-Americans Wayne Daniels and Jake Kirkpatrick will play for Team Texas in the Feb. 5 NFL Players Association Game at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Kirkpatrick, the Rimington Trophy winner as the nation's top center, is currently in Mobile, Ala., at the Senior Bowl.

Daniels led TCU's 2011 Rose Bowl championship team with 14 tackles for loss and 6 1/2 sacks from his defensive end position. Daniels and TCU quarterback Andy Dalton were the only two unanimous first-team All-Mountain West Conference selections this season.
