Horned Frogs battle Falcons to end one team’s losing streak

The two teams meeting Wednesday night in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum have combined to lose their past 18 games. With each team looking to break out of its funk, there certainly shouldn't be a lack of effort on the court.

The Horned Frogs (13-12, 4-7 MWC), losers of their past six games, are hosting the Air Force Academy Falcons (9-15, 0-11 MWC), losers of 12 straight.



"Something's going to break here, either us or them," head coach Jim Christian said. "(Air Force is) hungry and they've played well."

Student Government Association representatives wearing bright blue shirts will be available to hear suggestions today as part of the second annual Improve TCU Day. The event encourages students to submit recommendations to SGA on ways to improve the student experience.

Students have multiple options for submitting suggestions. Representatives will be available at the Campus Commons and outside the Mary Couts Burnett Library. The main location, the Campus Commons will feature live music.

Crime update: Name of burglary suspect released

University police have released the name of the man connected to the burglary of a vehicle at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on Feb. 9.

Sgt. Kelly Ham said Darayl Alexander, a 29-year-old man, is being pursued because he failed to turn himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The warrant was issued after $2,500 in stolen property was recovered from his car by campus police.

The biggest gender issues women face in the workplace are in the United States, not abroad, a global management consulting firm executive said to about 50 people Tuesday evening in Smith Hall.

Accenture executive Julie Coffman said that when working overseas she felt she wasn't viewed by her gender, but by her business capabilities.



"I think some places abroad who have gone through globalization and emerged as players in the world economy have done a better job sometimes working through gender issues (than the U.S.)," Coffman said.

Participants on Facebook list 25 things about their lives that friends might not know and tag 25 people so they can do the same. It's just another thing to do online when you're bored, feel silly or have an inkling that someone wants to know 25 random things about you.

BYU defeats Horned Frogs in sixth straight loss

Less than a month ago, the men's basketball team was tied for first in the Mountain West Conference, but after six straight losses, its record has dropped to 13-12, five games behind the University of Utah for the conference lead.

The Horned Frogs (4-7 MWC) led for less than two minutes early in the first half Saturday, but Brigham Young University quickly turned the tables and never looked back, going on to win 79-63.



Head basketball coach Jim Christian said the Cougars are very good offensively and a well-disciplined team overall.
