The TCU men's tennis team said it is beginning the 2006 season with high expectations."I believe we have a great squad," head coach Joey Riv‚ said .

Last weekend, the team proved just how good they could be by defeating No. 36-ranked Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.

"It was a great start to win last weekend in the first match of the season," Riv‚ said. "I am very pleased, but there is a lot of room for improvement."

The Horned Frogs welcome three newcomers to the team: freshmen Andrei Mlendea, Kriegler Brink and Cosmin Cotet.

When the Los Angeles Times first reviewed "Brokeback Mountain," a film that chronicles a friendship and love story between two cowboys, it praised the film but posed the question, "Will it play in Plano?"The more apt question might have been, "Will it play in Fort Worth?"

Although early season struggles have slowed down the men's golf team, the Horned Frogs look to rebound by starting the spring season with a trip to Hawaii for the Waikoloa Intercollegiate Invitational.After coming off a fall season, which saw the Horned Frogs enjoy success in several national polls, head coach Bill Montigel said TCU is working harder than ever to ensure success in its new home, the Mountain West Conference.

TCU students, like their college counterparts in a nationwide survey, are reluctant to report sexual harassment to school authorities, said Susan Adams, associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs and sexual harassment officer at Campus Life.Almost two-thirds of U.S. college students experience sexual harassment, but less than 10 percent report it to school authorities, according to a survey by the American Association of University Women.

At TCU, students hesitate to report sexual harassment because of the fear of being labeled or magnifying the situation, Adams said.

The women's golf team, having already completed a portion of its season, is ready to move to the culmination of the year's efforts. Head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said the team is looking forward to the new semester.

"Going into the spring, we are coming off some good momentum from our tournaments in the fall," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "Everybody is confident and feelings for the spring are really high. I think we are expecting some great things for ourselves, concentrating on what we are capable of doing."
