The winter weather is leaving its mark on TCU’s campus.
Due to staffing issues from the icy road conditions, student resident assistants are volunteering to work at the only on-campus dining facility open Monday. The RAs are swiping students’ IDs as they enter Market Square.
“It is very unlikely that any food venue except Market Square will open today,” Mike Russel, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs, wrote in an email.
Market Square will close from 2-5 p.m. and will reopen from 5-7 p.m. for dinner.
Most students are staying indoors to keep warm, but some are playing and sledding outside.
The National Weather Service’s forecast predicts a low of 22 degrees tonight. Temperatures may not get above freezing until Tuesday afternoon.
