The Horned Frogs fell to the undefeated Longhorns on Wednesday in a 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22) loss.

No. 2 Texas improved its perfect record to 15-0 (7-0 Big 12), while TCU fell to 12-10 (2-6 Big 12).

Outside hitters Ashley Smith and Sarita Mikals led the Horned Frogs with seven kills each.

Junior Sutton Sunstrum led all players with 11 digs, while junior Alexia Heist finished with 19 assists and nine digs.

The Horned Frogs’ best chance at winning a set arrived in the last one, as the two sides were tied 22-22.

However, Texas used three straight kills from two-time Big 12 Player of the Year Haley Eckerman to preserve the victory.

TCU returns home Friday to take on one of the top Chinese volleyball teams, Zhejiang, at 7 p.m.
