Men’s tennis upsets No. 4 Illinois

Mens tennis upsets No. 4 Illinois

TCU men’s tennis hadn’t beaten a top-10 team since January, but on Monday, the Horned Frogs ended that streak.

No. 17 TCU swept No. 4 Illinois in both singles and doubles, shutting out the Fighting Illini 4-0.

Doubles duo Cameron Norrie and Trevor Johnson snagged the first win on their court. Then, Will Stein and Nick Chappell followed through to secure the doubles point for the Frogs.

Guillermo Nunez, Arnau Dachs and Facundo Lugones finished the job with wins in singles.

Head coach David Roditi thanked fans in a video posted via Twitter:

TCU improves to 11-5 overall with the win. The Frogs will face Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
