The Big 12 league office announced Thursday that the TCU volleyball team will have three of its matches broadcast on national television.
TCU will have its home games Oct. 4 against Kansas State and Oct. 8 against Texas aired on ESPNU and ESPN 2, respectively. The team’s away match against Kansas on Sept. 30 will be televised on the Fox Sports Network.
“The environment our TCU volleyball fans have created at our matches is one of the most electric and exhilarating in the country,” Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer said. “Thanks to all of our devoted frog fans, we have ranked in the top 30 in average attendance in the NCAA for the past two seasons.”
TCU is one of four Big 12 teams that will have multiple games on national television. The Frogs will have more of its games televised through its third-tier television partnership, and those games will be announced at a later date.
TCU will face Texas A&M Saturday at 2 p.m. in The Rickel for an exhibition match before officially beginning the season Friday, Aug. 25 against UTSA in the opener of the Cowtown Classic in Fort Worth.
“We look forward to having the opportunity to be on the national stage once again this season for league play and show off our Horned Frog pride,” Kramer said.
