The No. 10 Horned Frogs opened their season Thursday night at home with a 6-0 victory over Abilene Christian. The came in front of a great showing from the Fort Worth community and TCU students.
“The first match is always a little scary, especially when school started so late and we just had our first official team practice with everybody on Tuesday because of all the new rules,” TCU head coach David Roditi said. “So many people do so much for us to get to this point today, and this is a way to thank them for doing all their work so we can have the team that we have.”
The duo of sophomore Alastair Gray and senior Trevor Johnson led the team on a run with a 6-1 victory against ACU brothers Jonathan and Josh Sheehy.
TCU kept its winning streak alive in the singles competition on all six courts.
