No. 14 TCU beach volleyball team fell in their final home match of the regular season to the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Fight in the Fort, 4-1.

“It was a rough day for us again,” head coach Hector Gutierrez said. “I don’t think we handled the pressure after the two losses on Saturday. We need to keep working. It’s early in the year still. I believe in this group 100 percent, and I think we can do good things.”

Jillian Bergeson, who played in her final home match in Fort Worth, and teammate Jaelyn Greene defeated Natalie Braun and Frances Giedraitis 21-12, 21-17 for TCU’s only win of the day. Bergeson and Greene went 2-1 in their three matches in the tournament.

For the weekend, the Frogs (3-4) went 0-3, while No. 8 Cal Poly Mustangs went 3-0, No. 18 Tulane Green Wave went 2-1, and the Sun Devils went 1-2.

Sunday’s match against the Sun Devils was the final home match for seniors Bergeson, Cassie House, Brooke Sassin and Kristy Weiser.

Up next, the Horned Frogs will participate in the East Meets West Invitational in Los Angeles. TCU will face the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine and Pepperdine Saturday before battling the USC Trojans and UCLA Sunday.
