For the second time this season, TCU fought hard but could not come up with a victory against No. 6 Texas, this time losing 3-1 (13-25, 25-20, 17-25, 23-25). The loss drops the Frogs’ record away from home to 1-8. The first set was all Texas from the start. TCU found themselves down 11-5 early and they were never able to close the gap as the Longhorns won 25-13. Despite the dominance of Texas in the opening set, the Horned Frogs would not back down. Led by a strong offensive start from middle blocker Sarah Swanson, the Frogs went up 14-11 midway through the second set. Their momentum would carry them to a 25-20 win, tying up the match 1-1. Swanson would finish the match with a .455 hitting clip to go with 12 kills, matching a career-high. She has now hit over .300 in eight matches this season.
