“It’s honestly always really exciting to just be playing at home,” head coach Hector Gutierrez said.

On the electrifying first day of the TCU Invitational, the Frogs faced formidable opponents in the Huskies and the No. 11-ranked Hawaii, emerging flawlessly with a  2-0 record. Individually, six Horned Frogs stood as pillars of strength, each posting a perfect 2-0 record for the day: Hailey Hamlett, Anhelina Khmil, Sutton MacTavish, Tara Patton, Ana Vergara and Morgan Williams.

The day’s matches were a symphony of skill and determination, as the Frogs delivered quick hits and decisive blows against their opponents. Against HCU, the duo of Keagan Polk and Olivia Clines set the tone with a commanding victory from the No. 5 spot, swiftly followed by Patton and Williams sealing the deal from the No. 4 spot. Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara brought the match to a resounding close from the No. 2 position, leaving no doubt about TCU’s dominance on their home turf.

From the top spot, Hailey Hamlett and Sutton MacTavish unleashed a barrage of precision plays, securing the fourth point for TCU in a straight-set victory that left their opponents reeling. The momentum carried through as Luana Araco and Anete Namike closed out the sweep from the No. 3 spot, further solidifying TCU’s supremacy on the sand.

The statistics painted a picture of relentless success: TCU’s seventh sweep of the season, a flawless record against HCU and an unblemished 38-0 record against schools in Texas. The Frogs’ unyielding spirit was on full display, leaving opponents in their wake and adding yet another chapter to their historic journey.

Against No. 11-ranked Hawaii, the Frogs faced a stern test of their mettle. Despite a few hard-fought battles, TCU emerged victorious once again, showcasing their depth and resilience. Patton and Williams continued their winning ways, notching another ranked win and demonstrating their prowess as a daunting duo. Hamlett and MacTavish kept their perfect season record intact, delivering a masterclass performance from the top spot.

Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara once again proved their worth, clinching the decisive point that sealed the match for TCU. The Frogs’ season record soared to 21-5, with an impressive 8-5 record against ranked opponents, confirming their ability to thrive under pressure and emerge victorious against the best in the nation.

TCU beach volleyball announcer and fan Don Jon wrapped up his season in Forth Worth as well and said, “I’m just so happy I have been apart of this streak for the last three seasons.”

As the dust settled on another remarkable day at the beach volleyball courts, TCU stood tall, their 50-game home win streak stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication, unbreakable bond and relentless pursuit of excellence.
