For Horned Frog fans, purchasing purple apparel (or white for tomorrow’s white-out game) is more than just shopping for clothing. Retailers of fan gear advertise a way to showcase spirit, pride and loyalty. The student section also showcases a wide range of styles.
All that said, price differences across retailers highlight an ongoing conversation about whether school spirit should come at a premium.
Four local retailers dominate the TCU gear market: the official TCU Campus Store, Rally House, Flash University Store and Fans Vintage. Each offers distinct advantages, from affordability to nostalgia to official branding.

Rally House boasts variety and accessibility, often appealing to students who want budget-friendly options or are shopping for jerseys. Its selection covers a broad range of designs and categories.
Flash University Store emphasizes comfort-color styles, offering casual options suited for everyday wear. The store attracts buyers seeking gear that feels versatile beyond game days or campus events.
The Campus Store, located at the center of campus, remains the most visible option. While it is often more expensive, it provides official, up-to-date merchandise tied closely to TCU branding and current athletics.
Fans Vintage stands apart with a focus on retro-inspired apparel. Owner Lindsey Dixon said the shop’s mission goes beyond simply selling clothing.
“We’re deeply rooted in connecting nostalgia and sports, passion and school pride,” Dixon said. “With the retail that we sell, we’re very story-driven. We want it to be something unique, something you can’t purchase anywhere else and tells a story just from wearing it.”
Staff at Rally House, Flash University Store and the TCU Campus Store did not comment.
Together, the four outlets create a layered marketplace of various price points and styles for Horned Frog apparel and purple pride.
