So there you are in your itchy suit and squeaky shoes with a brand
new briefcase with that new-leather smell. You're a bright-eyed, ambitious
TCU grad. Of course your first job interview will be a breeze,
what could possibly go wrong? You are fully prepared with a portfolio
that boasts all your
greatest accomplishments
from that in-depth history
research paper you got a
B on (it should have been
an A, but life isn't always
fair) to the brilliantly funny
opinion columns you wrote
for The Skiff. You smile to

best pair of shoes, you feel yourself become the target of eyes8212;so
many eyes8212;eyes like coal-lit furnaces beaming negative thoughts
your way. Undeterred, you direct your attention to the front desk.

"I'm here for the networking fair," you say smiling at the receptionist.
"And clearly you're going to do well," she whips back sarcastically,
nodding toward the enormous banner that should have indicated
to you where to go.

They wear cowboy hats. They rope outside of the Winthrop Rockefeller Building. But ranch management students are more than just cowboys. They are all-around Southern businessmen with a dress code, a code of conduct and a sound knowledge of all the ins and outs of the ranching industry.

Jeffrey Geider, Director of the Institute of Ranch Management, said, "They learn how to manage the entire resource. They're really business people learning business practices and principles as it applies to agricultural management."

Putt-Putt Entertainment is an entertainment

The center is open until 11 p.m. Sunday to
Thursday and until 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday,
giving you plenty of time to meander your way

zoo animals.
Although there is no TCU discount, there are

Dr. Steven Woodworth is passionate about
history. He teaches it at TCU, writes about it
in published articles and books, talks about it
with friends and family ... and listens to it on

Q: How would you describe your musical
taste?
A: "Somewhat eclectic. I like anything from
bagpipes to sacred harp shape note singing.
I also enjoy more formal choral music, some
band music and even some easy listening from
the 70s.'
Q: Have you always been a fan of bagpipes?

On The Town – Hyena?s Comedy Night Club

If you like fruity drinks and "fruity" laughs,
then Hyena's Comedy Night Club is the place
for you.

This place may come off a little gothic and
mysterious as you walk down a long, black set
of stairs into a large, dark room with a bar in
the front and pool tables hidden in the back. A
bouncer leads guests down a dark hall through
a dark door into an even darker room. This room
is packed with people with a small lit-up stage
in front. This is the comedy club showroom. It's
a little mysterious, but unique. I loved it.

A November 2007 study released
by University of California Los
Angeles's Williams Institute found
that the number of same-sex couples
in Fort Worth increased more than 10
times since 1990. This trend is reflected
across the nation with the number of
"unmarried partners" increasing by five
times over the 16 year period, according
to the study.

The most dramatic increases were
reported in socially conservative Southern
and Mountain states, and Texas was no
exception.

Cityview Lanes may sound like a new hotspot, and
it will be soon enough. It is actually the new name
for what was formerly Don Carter's Cityview, a
long-time staple outing for TCU students. Cityview
Lanes bowling alley is under new management
and is getting a complete overhaul.

Just like Don Carter's, Cityview Lanes does not
just offer more than 20 lanes of bowling. This
venue also has pool tables and an arcade for
the kid in you. Just for the adults, there will be
a revamped, fully-stocked bar. Until the bar is
