The TCU men's basketball team advanced to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West Conference after a 62-59 home-win over the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday night.

Good defense was crucial to the victory. The Horned Frogs earned 20 points off of turnovers alone.

Sophomore guard Ronnie Moss scored 6 points by the 15:08 mark, and the Frogs kept the lead throughout the first half.

Senior guard Edvinas Ruzgas racked up a number of points for TCU as well. He scored 12 points in the first half alone, and led the Frogs in points scored with 22 overall.

Three men arrested during a December drug sweep are no longer enrolled at the university, according to the Office of Communications.

Lisa Albert, director of communications at the university, wrote in an e-mail that she cannot share specific details about why the men - Timothy Hand, Cameron Abelson and David Harrell - are no longer students.

Harrell and Hand wrote in separate e-mails that they chose to leave the university. Abelson's circumstances are unclear.

The men's basketball team will face the Wyoming Cowboys tonight at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum after dropping a game against Utah on Saturday.

"It's important for us to win our home games to have a good season," said head coach Jim Christian. "We just want to keep playing well and get off to a good start in Mountain West Conference play."

The Horned Frogs enter the game with an 8-8 record overall and a 1-1 record in conference play. The team won its first conference game of the season against Air Force 59-50, but fell in its second to Utah 65-45.

Renovations for the new Kroger grocery store on South University Drive will be complete in the early summer, a Kroger spokesman said.

Gary Huddleston, director of consumer affairs for Kroger Food Stores, said the company will take possession of the former Albertsons' building March 1 and will begin renovations immediately. The company is in the process of drawing up blueprints, and the renovations are expected to take three months, he said.
