Women’s swim and dive team closes season with a win against Lobos

In its last regular season meet, the H2O Frogs women's swim and dive team took a stroke forward in the Mountain West Conference as seniors and freshmen shined.


TCU beat the University of New Mexico Lobos 124.5-116.5 to close out the team's regular conference season.

In response to your article "Vegans have it rough in Cowtown," it was encouraging to see it is getting easier and easier to find vegetarian and vegan options, as the demand for these products increases.


As the author mentions, almost a quarter of college students consider vegan options to be important to them, which is a clear sign of the growing trend toward healthier, more humane cuisine.

A Democratic Party rally scheduled to take place at Smith Hall on Saturday presents a great opportunity for students to express political interest and get involved.


James Russell, a sophomore religion and anthropology major, said students will have the chance to meet 30 Tarrant County Democratic candidates. This will be an easy way to get to know the candidates' policies before primary voting for the Texas House takes place March 4.


Seven of the 30 candidates are scheduled to speak.

Several Tarrant County Democratic Party candidates will speak on campus Saturday at a political rally, a member of the TCU Democrats said.


James Russell, a sophomore religion and anthropology major, said 30 Democratic candidates are slated to attend Saturday's rally, seven are scheduled to speak at the event. The keynote speaker is current state Rep. Rick Noriega, who is also a U.S. senatorial candidate.

The Fort Worth Police Department's addition of another division will help police officers respond faster and more efficiently to crime around campus, TCU's neighborhood police officer said.


Though specific response times were unavailable before print, Capt. Billy Cordell of the Fort Worth Police Department, who presides over this new division, said this setup is better than the previous one.
